The Vermont Military Family Community Network (VTMFCN) promotes awareness of the unique issues facing our military members and their families. We strive to identify local, state, federal resources available to our Vermont service members, veterans, and their families. Below are links to some of those resources. Most Recent Quarterly Meeting Topic: Our October 10, 2018 meeting had great presenters and awesome networking! We had representatives from the Vermont Department of Labor, Veterans Vocational Rehabilitation program, Military OneSource, ESGR, and our Citizen Soldier for Life Career Readiness Counselor. These presenters informed the network of programs and services that further assist our service members, veterans, and military spouses. We also heard from our regional representative with Operation Homefront, and welcomed a St.
Michael’s graduate to give a briefing on her research regarding the unique stressors and issues facing our military
children. We continue to hear that the networking piece - time to make inter-personal connections, exchange business cards, etc. - during the meetings is also extremely valuable and worthwhile.
Stay tuned for more information regarding our next meeting scheduled for January 9 th , 2019!
